Kiwi resellers on red alert as Ingram Micro brings on board security specialist

“When we started working with Hikvision earlier this year we had high expectations."

Ingram Micro, distributor of Hikvision in New Zealand and Australia, says its resellers are well positioned to take advantage of Hikvision’s technology leadership in the rapidly evolving security and surveillance solutions market.

“Hikvision is the worlds largest supplier of video surveillance products and solutions, with over 13,000 staff, including a research and development group of more than 4,000 people,” says Gary Bigwood, Managing Director, Ingram Micro New Zealand.

“The company holds hundreds of patents and is widely regarded as a leader in its field, and as a result, resellers have access to the latest state-of-the-art solutions.”

Bigwood says this means that as security technology continues its rapid transition from analogue equipment to IP-based solutions, resellers can now provide their customers with networked security solutions that extend beyond the standard office environment.

“When we started working with Hikvision earlier this year we had high expectations,” Bigwood adds.

“Our experience to date has demonstrated beyond doubt that the Hikvision security solutions are a perfect complement to our existing portfolio of networking, server, storage, UPS, monitor and software products.

“This not only enables our customers to achieve new revenue opportunities, but also allows them to order a complete solution from the one distribution partner.”

Bigwood says the full range of HIK Vision products will be on display at the Ingram Micro Showcase events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this week and next.

“This is an ideal opportunity for resellers to see Hikvision products close-up and understand what they can do for their customers,” he adds.

“In addition, Tony Lagan, the regional business development manager for Hikvision, will be presenting in the Showcase Seminar Series.

“This is perfect timing for resellers to hear first-hand the opportunity that supplying these security products provides their business.”
