SAP cloud provider named finalist in AUT Excellence in Business Support Awards

Recognised for excellence, UXC Oxygen New Zealand will join finalists across ten categories at this year’s awards.

SAP solutions and cloud company UXC Oxygen has been selected as a finalist in the 2015 AUT Faculty of Business and Law Excellence in Business Support Awards.

Recognised for excellence, UXC Oxygen New Zealand will join finalists across ten categories at this year’s awards.

UXC Oxygen CEO, Stuart Dickinson, says he is very pleased the organisation has been selected as a finalist in the AUT business support awards programme.

“In 2001 our company was born out of an idea to take the intellectual property and human capital developed by Carter Holt Harvey’s internal IT department and create a standalone specialist SAP services company,” Dickinson adds.

“Almost 15 years later, UXC Oxygen has become the leading specialist SAP solutions company across Australia and New Zealand, winning numerous SAP excellence awards, and earning a reputation for quality, flexibility, delivery and integrity in all aspects of its business.”

Now into their 10th year the AUT Excellence in Business Support Awards are the only national performance measure for New Zealand business support organisations - winners of the 10 category awards and the supreme award will be named at a gala dinner on 29 October.

“The importance of excellent business support runs through everything we do in the AUT Faculty of Business and Law, from teaching to research to co-operative education and industry engagement,” says Geoff Perry, Dean of Business and Law, Professor, AUT University.

Educating from the epicentre - Why distributors are the pulse checkers of the channel

As the channel changes and industry voices deepen, the need for clarity and insight heightens. Market misconceptions talk of an “under pressure” distribution space, with competitors in that fateful “race for relevance” across New Zealand. Amidst the cliched assumptions however, distribution is once again showing its strength, as a force to be listened to, rather than questioned. Traditionally, the role was born out of a need for vendors and resellers to find one another, acting as a bridge between the testing lab and the marketplace. Yet despite new technologies and business approaches shaking the channel to its very core, distributors remain tied to the epicentre - providing the voice of reason amidst a seismic industry shift. In looking across both sides of the vendor and partner fences, the middle concept of the three-tier chain remains centrally placed to understand the metrics of two differing worlds, as the continual pulse checkers of the local channel. This exclusive Reseller News Roundtable, in association with Dicker Data and rhipe, examined the pivotal role of distribution in understanding the health of the channel, educating from the epicentre as the market transforms at a rapid rate.
