New Schneider Electric GM promises bold regional channel changes

“In order to stay competitive, channel companies need to innovate and look for ways to differentiate their offerings, gain a competitive advantage and remain profitable."

Schneider Electric has appointed Muralee Kanagaratnam as the General Manager, Channel & Alliances for its IT Business in the Pacific, as the company bids to strengthen its ties across the channel.

Kanagaratnam has over 16 years’ experience in the IT channel across Asia Pacific and has a proven track record in building and growing multiple vendor portfolios and businesses.

“Channel organisations are going through a major transformation and now more than ever they need to ensure they are meeting the demands and needs of their customers in a rapidly evolving market,” Kanagaratnam says.

“In order to stay competitive, channel companies need to innovate and look for ways to differentiate their offerings, gain a competitive advantage and remain profitable.

"My aim is to drive Schneider Electric’s partner-centric channel strategy to align with this rapidly evolving and increasingly dynamic market.”

Kanagaratnam says his goal for the next 6 – 12 months is to review and drive the Schneider Electric IT Business “go-to-market” strategy to ensure it continues to provide its channel and alliances partners with the relevant support and resources they need to be successful.

“Ensuring partner profitability is a top priority for the Schneider Electric IT Business and we will be launching a new channel program that is aimed at providing support to our partners and rewarding them for partnering with us,” Kanagaratnam adds.

“We are continually innovating our offering and have invested heavily to ensure we are continuing to provide our partners with solutions that can complement their offering both within the IT Business and across our other Schneider Electric solutions.”

Prior to his role with Schneider Electric, Kanagaratnam led the channel strategy and execution for Adobe across Australia and New Zealand.

“I am confident Muralee will excel in this role helping our partners across the Pacific with programs and initiatives that drive partner profitability and overall business growth,” adds Francois Vazille, Vice President for Schneider Electric’s IT Business.
