Further growth expected as Wynyard reveals US distie deal

Wynyard is continuing the planned expansion of its partner programme across the US as the company focuses on securing larger deals and increasing its expansion into the national security market.

Wynyard Group solutions are now being offered through US partner immixGroup, both in its immixGroup’s Cyber security Technologies program, a portfolio of cyber security vendors, and in its big data and analytics programme.

immixGroup, Inc., which helps technology companies do business with government agencies at the federal, state and local levels, will distribute Wynyard’s cyber solutions, advanced crime analytics and risk management solutions to government agencies, systems integrators and solutions providers.

immixGroup acts as a distributor of enterprise products for the public sector and makes these products and others available to the company's more than 800 channel partners and to government agencies through a variety of federal, state, and local contract vehicles.

These include multiple GSA Schedule contracts, NASA SEWP IV, and the Air Force's NETCENTS-2 contract.

In addition, immixGroup acts as a source of supply for 16 prime contractors under the Department of Homeland Security's Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) programme.

Wynyard Group COO, Paul Stokes, says Wynyard is continuing the planned expansion of its partner programme as the company focuses on securing larger deals and increasing its expansion into the national security market.

“We are committed to growing our partner programme and are excited at the prospect of working with immixGroup, which is very well respected for its work with U.S. government agencies,” he adds.

“The growing global problems Wynyard’s software helps solve continue to be headline news.

“Joining the immixGroup creates a compelling new market proposition and choice for its portfolio of government customers facing emerging global security challenges.”

Educating from the epicentre - Why distributors are the pulse checkers of the channel

As the channel changes and industry voices deepen, the need for clarity and insight heightens. Market misconceptions talk of an “under pressure” distribution space, with competitors in that fateful “race for relevance” across New Zealand. Amidst the cliched assumptions however, distribution is once again showing its strength, as a force to be listened to, rather than questioned. Traditionally, the role was born out of a need for vendors and resellers to find one another, acting as a bridge between the testing lab and the marketplace. Yet despite new technologies and business approaches shaking the channel to its very core, distributors remain tied to the epicentre - providing the voice of reason amidst a seismic industry shift. In looking across both sides of the vendor and partner fences, the middle concept of the three-tier chain remains centrally placed to understand the metrics of two differing worlds, as the continual pulse checkers of the local channel. This exclusive Reseller News Roundtable, in association with Dicker Data and rhipe, examined the pivotal role of distribution in understanding the health of the channel, educating from the epicentre as the market transforms at a rapid rate.
