AWS and Bespoke partner for training in NZ

Schedules now set for September and November in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington

Bespoke Training Services has been named Amazon Web Services (AWS) Authorised Training Partner for New Zealand, after the successful rollout of AWS training in Australia.

Courses offered through Bespoke Training Services are designed to help deliver Cloud-based solutions using the AWS platform, and realise the cost savings and efficiencies the Cloud can enable in an organisation.

Bespoke's Spring AWS Training Schedule for IT professionals is slated for September in Auckland, and November in Wellington and Christchurch. These hands-on, intimate, instructor-led technical seminars will be delivered by highly qualified AWS trainers.

“As an important complement to the online resources offered by Amazon Web Services, instructor-led sessions offer IT decision makers and technology professionals the opportunity to become more familiar with AWS capabilities through immersive, hands-on exercises,” said Trent Rosenthal, director, Bespoke Training Services.

“The face-to-face training from an AWS expert is valuable, as is the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any challenges you may be facing in your own implementation of Amazon Web Services.”

AWS instructor-led training sessions help companies using the AWS platform to deepen their Cloud expertise, with targeted and role-specific training.

As well as working towards recognition of their skillset through AWS certification, trainees will become more proficient with the AWS platform, enabling them to design, build, deploy, monitor and scale available, efficient and secure applications on behalf of organisations and clients.

Training session dates are:

AWS Essentials

  • Auckland, September 9
  • Christchurch, November 25
  • Wellington, November 25

Architecting on AWS

  • Auckland, September 10-12
  • Christchurch, November 26-28
  • Wellington, November 26-28

The AWS Essentials course is designed for business leaders and technology professionals who need assistance making Cloud decisions and / or an introduction to Amazon Web Services, or those seeking first level training to support implementation of the AWS platform. AWS experience is not required.

Architecting on AWS is designed for solutions architects and other technology professionals seeking to gain a deeper understanding of AWS services so they can level-up their usage of the platform and stay ahead of the pack. The technical seminar will teach attendees how to design scalable, elastic, secure and highly-available applications on AWS.

Educating from the epicentre - Why distributors are the pulse checkers of the channel

As the channel changes and industry voices deepen, the need for clarity and insight heightens. Market misconceptions talk of an “under pressure” distribution space, with competitors in that fateful “race for relevance” across New Zealand. Amidst the cliched assumptions however, distribution is once again showing its strength, as a force to be listened to, rather than questioned. Traditionally, the role was born out of a need for vendors and resellers to find one another, acting as a bridge between the testing lab and the marketplace. Yet despite new technologies and business approaches shaking the channel to its very core, distributors remain tied to the epicentre - providing the voice of reason amidst a seismic industry shift. In looking across both sides of the vendor and partner fences, the middle concept of the three-tier chain remains centrally placed to understand the metrics of two differing worlds, as the continual pulse checkers of the local channel. This exclusive Reseller News Roundtable, in association with Dicker Data and rhipe, examined the pivotal role of distribution in understanding the health of the channel, educating from the epicentre as the market transforms at a rapid rate.
