Proficio signs Australian reseller CloudPort in A/NZ expansion

Company opens Sydney office to drive growth

Managed security service service provider Proficio has signed Australian reseller Cloudport and opened a Sydney office as part of an expansion across A/NZ.

CloudPort is a cyber security solutions provider headquartered in Brisbane.

Proficio chief executive, Brad Taylor, said traditional approaches to security monitoring were no longer effective in accurately identifying and prioritising critical security threats.

"Proficio’s ProSOC service is the only next-generation SOC-as-a-Service that provides true actionable intelligence and proactive defence," he said.

CloudPort managing director, Ken Bartlett, said Proficio was one of the fastest growing managed security service providers in the North American market.

“We chose to partner with Proficio because they provide leading edge technology, twenty-four-seven support from security experts, and the most up-to-date security intelligence based on billions of security events that they monitor for their US clients.”

The company is focused on bringing cloud-based security to the mid-market.

The channel is also critical to its growth strategy in Australia and New Zealand.

"Proficio’s partner program is designed to make doing business with Proficio easy and profitable," a company statement said.

"Proficio partners, like CloudPort, are trusted advisors to their customers and strive for excellence in every aspect of their business."
