RSA selects Westcon as NZ distributor

The distributor agreement commenced from the 1st of April 2014.

Westcon Group has been selected by RSA, EMC’s security division, to be its distributor in New Zealand. The distributor agreement commenced from the 1st of April 2014.

Mark Baker, Westcon Group’s GM for vendor business in NZ said, “Westcon Group NZ is very pleased to take on the sole distribution for RSA in the New Zealand market. With security being in the top 10 priorities for CIOs today, we have already seen a real interest from our partners and their customers across RSA’s solutions. Westcon Group offers a comprehensive range of security solutions with RSA adding further depth and capability to our security vendor portfolio.”

According to Shaun McLagan, RSA’s GM for Australia and New Zealand, the partnership will assist in positioning RSA as a significant player in the information security industry, allowing them to utilise their existing strengths and realise new opportunities.

According to the two companies, Westcon will help optimise RSA’s New Zealand business and add to opportunities from the market through its channel partners and its existing experience with EMC.
