NZ distributor buys stake in local cloud provider

The partnership makes AO effectively a vendor that will be supplying its range of cloud services to Connector Systems’ reseller channel.

Networking, security, wireless and cabling distributor Connector Systems has purchased a 50 per cent stake in local cloud service provider AO New Zealand (AONZ).

“This is a strategic move that equips Connector’s channel partners with a broad range of cloud and internet connectivity solutions to resell, and derive additional annuity based pro-services revenue streams,” says Connector MD Dale Smith.

The partnership makes AO effectively a vendor that will be supplying its range of cloud services to Connector Systems’ reseller channel. According to the companies, the partnership will be extended to Australia in time, to offer the same options to Connector’s Australian channel.

Besides cloud services, AONZ provides telco services from fibre connections to the VoIP calling that runs over it. In addition to AONZ providing cloud services, the business offers a comprehensive list of telco services from Fibre connections to the VoIP calling that runs over it. This as Jeff Herbet, founder of AONZ explains is part of their end to end solution approach.

“This is part of our end-to-end solution approach. The best experience and service levels can be achieved on rour solutions, like Cloud Backup, by having end-user connectivity being also provided by AONZ,” said Jeff Herbet, founder of AO.

AONZ operates on a channel-only model.
